Auto mechanic / technician Auto Repair shop Serving Jacksonville for over 35 years family owned and operated auto repair shop looking for experienced motivated auto mechanic. We thrive in customer service and auto repairs. Looking for a reliable technician who is looking for a full time position in a drug free family oriented environment. Essential Duties • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with repair shop standards. • Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repair. • Communicate with office assistant to obtain needed parts. • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. • Communicate with office assistant immediately on repair updates and or delays. • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. • Ensures that vehicle is kept clean. Notifies supervisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. • Maintains and is accountable for all repair shop owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. • Operates all tools/equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management. • Preform Jobs as simple as brakes to full engine replacement Qualifications • At least 2 years of Mechanical experience • Must have tools (limited tools supplied) • Valid driver’s license • Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time • Team player don’t mind working with others • Have reliable transportation • Candidate who can work full time • Customer Service Mindset • Physically able to lift twist and bend Full Time Monday - Friday, and a couple of Saturdays depending on work load. Guaranteed 40 hours/week. Top of the line shop with AIR CONDITIONING, HEAT, (inside)hydraulic lifts and hoists so you don't have to break your back. The shop has a kitchen and a break room. Full Time, great pay with bonus opportunities. Year round work not seasonal!
