Looking for some investment

I know it is a long shot posting this on craigslist but thought I would give it a try. I am not looking for a loan so please don't email me with things like that. I am getting back into a business I ran a few years ago that I closed down after a divorce and now I am ready to get the ball rolling on it again. I am looking for between 3,000 to 5,000 in investment that I would repay at a rate of 2x the investment by January or up to 10,000 in investment for a 2x return in 12 months (1/2 in January and the remainder at the conclusion of term). This is a convention and event based business that will have an online presence as well. I wont go into particulars on craigslist but if you are interested we can schedule a time to meet or call so I can explain it to you. These funds would be used for inventory as well as event set ups. I have connections to wholesalers and manufacturers I would be using to obtain the products I plan on selling. Again it is a long shot that I will find someone to invest and I know that but I figured it never hurts.
