MAJOR DUTIES: Must know how to operate/drive a 26 ft moving truck. Must know how to disassemble and reassemble furniture. Flatbed loads-steel, lumber, hauling- freight forwarding, long distance, and local. Movers must be able to carefully and efficiently wrap and pack household goods to prevent damage while moving. Load and unload truck and perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying office, household, bulky items. Special machinery is sometimes used, particularly for heavy items or goods that are being stored in a warehouse before delivery to a customer. Examples are forklifts and special dollies for navigating stairs. Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations. Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Company personnel. Good leadership skills and must know how to manage a team. Must be able to communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner. Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have valid driver’s license One-year previous Box Truck driving experience Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required drug/alcohol test/background check Contact: Fakhair - (862) 703-8194 or email - [email protected]
