3-4 years experience in Engine and Transmission removal and repair in a professional shop. Own tools a plus Heavy Line Technician Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, steering, suspension, brakes and air conditioning to required specifications. Perform vehicle inspection to identify necessary repairs. Inspect and test vehicles to determine necessary and applicable repair work. Strong understanding of the service drive Years of experience vary per position High school diploma or equivalent Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination Mechanical and troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service skills Basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Team player with the ability to collaborate with others effectively Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles starting pay can be adjusted depending on the skills and experience of the Candidate, temp to hire.
