ONLY SERIOUS APPLICANTS SHOULD APPLY The Art of Living Retreat Center is seeking to hire a person that can provide both laundry and cleaning services. We are interested in a person who possesses the following qualities: Well groomed, polite, eye for detail, independent worker, works well with other team members, dependable, and reliable, must possess a strong work ethic. Willingness to help others when necessary. Duties include but are not limited to: 1) Cleaning Responsibilities - cleaning & disinfecting duties for the following Large Dining Hall Building - all common areas - both the upper and lower bathrooms. - all venue areas - other areas as assigned - all stairs and hallways - reception areas 2) Laundry Responsibilities - cleaning and disinfecting of all Bed & Bath linens in accordance with established protocols - loading/unloading of washers and dryers - sorting, washing, drying, folding, and bagging linens - use appropriate cleaning agents for all laundry items - treating and removing stains when required - monitoring inventory needs and notifying Supervisor when supplies are low - Cleaning machine filters, removing objects left inside machines, wiping down machines and laundry buggies in accordance with established procedures - Sweeping & mopping floors in laundry area - Assist Housekeeping and Housing Staff when requested Qualifications: --Possess the ability to carry, lift, move items up to 50 lbs. This position requires standing and movement during an 8-hour shift -Positive attitude & teamwork, able to multi-task and must be reliable -Candidate must be able to pass background check Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a criminal background check prior to consideration and subsequent offer of employment. PART TIME, WEEKEND-ONLY POSITION, FRIDAY - MONDAY 8-4:30. Holidays are required; weekends are required. Previous housekeeping and hospitality experience REQUIRED, but specific training will be given.
