Material Handler Opportunity Distribution Center in Fort Lauderdale is looking to hire reliable personnel in charge of materials handling in order fulfillment area. Material Handler Job Duties: • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing products in stock, recording location of inventory. • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on orders. • Receives product from supplier by verifying product code and lot number and quantity; placing product in stock in correct location • Un-load product shipments received, break-down pallets and store products in appropriate location. • Pick and Pack product for order fulfillment shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped • Fork lift certification required • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications: • Punctuality is a must • Able To lift at least 50 Lbs. and to maneuver packages of any weight above 75Lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person • Able to pass a Background check and drug test • Ability to communicate both timely and effectively, In a noisy warehouse environment • Able to follow instructions and be a team player • Safety Conscious • Able to do math / Accurate product count and Data Entry • Able to work overtime as required occasionally during the week and on Saturday • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 pm Hourly rate: $11-$16 (based on experience and certifications) Position available immediately.
