Description

Introduction to woodworking power tools This course will introduce makers to the safe operation of common woodworking power tools. Equipment covered will include the table saw, vertical bandsaw, planer, jointer, miter saw, drill press and various hand-held power tools. Successful participation in this training will allow makers to use this machinery during open lab times. Makerspace Lab Workshop Makerspace is a workshop where creative people from all walks of life can have access to the tools they will need to create prototypes, models and masterpieces. After proper training, participants will have the ability to use equipment ranging from basic woodworking machinery and 3-D printing to CNC milling, plasma and laser. The Industrial Technology Department at Clackamas Community College is home to multiple technical programs including Computer-aided Manufacturing, Electronics and Renewable Energy.
