Summer Play Therapy Groups for ages 8-11 These groups are scheduled for July 12, 19th, and 26th From 6pm to 7pm. Groups are limited to 6 individuals at one time. • These groups are closed groups which means no one can enter the group after the first session until the next group series comes back around. • Group session cost are provided by Medicaid if your child is eligible and no additional cost to you. If you do not have Medicaid group sessions will cost $40 a session and a total of $120 for all three sessions due at the first session. • Kids must wear athletic attire as some of the activities are physical and we will also be using washable paint. • Please do not leave child with a cell phone device unless the child knows how to keep it turned off. • No videos or photos will be taken in the groups • The groups will consist of three topics: Color personalities, Coping skills and communication. o Color Personalities: This session helps the group identify strengths of their personality and understand relationships and problem solving skills o Coping Skills: this session will assist the group with learning how to identify and practice coping skills in different settings using different techniques. o Open Communication: this group explores safe and open communication styles and techniques and help the group identify emotional, physical and mental safety. • Why Groups? Research helps us learn that peer on peer support is one of the most effective treatments for individuals with anxiety, depression or anger outburst. Parents of children signed up for the 3 series group session must agree to group treatment plan for services. Confidentiality notice We are committed to providing confidential services to individuals. However, with kids entering groups we cannot guarantee this confidential practice entirely as they will meet and get to know other kids that also receive treatment. Mental Health Providers will not be sharing the children’s personal information, diagnosis, or treatment content as we truly respect the privacy of each child.
