JBLM Event to recognize our Gold Star Mother's and Families. Gold Star Mothers and Families, Join us this year at Farrelli's Pizza in Dupont to connect with your military community and peers, enjoy lunch, and hear from our guest speakers: Michelle Black: Gold Star Spouse & Author Monica McNeal: President, WA Chapter - American Gold Star Mothers Lunch will be provided by the Survivor Outreach Services program. --- Gold Star Mother’s Day is observed on the last Sunday in September. This year it is on September 26, and the JBLM recogntion day will be held Saturday, September 18. Gold Star Mother’s Day is intended to recognize and honor those mothers who have lost a son or daughter in the service of the U.S. Armed Forces.JBLM Survivor Outreach Services provides support and brings Survivors together. JBLM Directorate of Personnel and Family Readiness (DPFR) houses programs and services to support Servicemembers, Family members, DoD Civilians, Retirees and Survivors. We are a combination of Army Community Service (ACS) and Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) programs.
