Join Pinelawn Memorial Park And Arboretum for its 4th Annual Ladybug Release event as we demonstrate the use of integrated pest management to control a common pest, the Aphid. At this popular free kid-friendly event, Pinelawn explains how Aphids cause harm to the health of a variety of plant material and how we can control their population by introducing their natural predator, the Lady Beetle (also known as the Ladybug).
This is a fun, hands-on event as guests release over 100,000 ladybugs in Pinelawn’s rose gardens. Each child can create a ladybug craft to take home and explain all they have learned. Light pre-packaged refreshments will be served. This is a FREE event, but registration is required.
SESSION 1 - 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (check-in begins at 12:30 PM)
SESSION 2 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (check-in begins at 2:30 PM)
The event will be held at Pinelawn's Louis Natalie Mall located across the street from the Reception Office. When attending the event, enter the park through West Gate 3.
