Description
Looking for a stable home for my family's 8 year old German Shepherd, Zorro, who was left in my care for what was supposed to be a temporary stay. Due to unexpected health complications, they are no longer able to care for him and I unfortunately cannot keep him on a permanent basis.
Zorro is a 115 LB, neutered male who does best in a home without other pets (though he has lived with two chihuahuas and a cat in the past), or children (he has been very good with kids historically but has never been left alone with them). He is very family oriented, protective of his home, and a though he is weary of strangers he has been able to accept new people into his life (this requires a lot of patience and experience!). He enjoys slow meditative walks, belly rubs, kicking a ball around from time to time, and sitting outside with his person while they do yard work/ garden/ read etc. He up to date on his vaccinations and is being treated for a thyroid condition (this is managed with medication).
Zorro would make a wonderful companion, and most loyal friend, for someone who owns a home with a large yard in a more rural setting ( he is sensitive to loud noises) and who either works from home or keeps a regular work schedule ( he appreciates a routine). He is the sweetest boy and deserves a quality of life much better than the one I am able to provide at this time.
I am asking for a $150 fee.
Please, only be in touch if you are familiar with caring for German Shepherds and are enthusiastic about providing care to a senior dog.
Thank you for reading!
