Description

Join us as we taste what's cookin' at Wille's Tin Shop! Women Who Whiskey-LBC is excited to partner up on an intimate in-person gathering featuring Long Beach’s Dirty Prospector Whisky! We have space for 12 people to gather at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, 8/3 at Wille’s Tin Shop Distillery in Long Beach for a tasting + education. Dirty Prospector is Long Beach, CA’s first craft whisky brand—a true local small batch whisky made proudly at Wille’s Tin Shop Distillery in Long Beach, CA. Dirty Prospector whisky embodies the California gold rush in a bottle. As the 1849 prospectors traveled far and wide for the opportunity to strike gold, they search far and wide for the best barrels to amplify the character and identity of each release. Each offering, 250-500 bottles, is a unique, nuanced, and meaningful expression of their whisky that seeks to uncover the full flavor potential of each delicious barrel. Currently, Dirty Prospector has two expressions available—an Islay barrel aged whisky and an Oloroso Sherry barrel aged whisky. Wille’s Tin Shop Distillery also carries a gin, a vodka, and another whisky under the portfolio, and these expressions will also be available to taste. Participants will be offered a $9 discount on Dirty Prospector bottles, should they decide to make a purchase to stock their home bar. Tickets are only $10 and will go quickly. Please lock it down now to avoid disappointment. And it would be so cool of you if you were vaccinated. We're not going to be a hardass about it, but it really does make everyone safer. (And don't forget that second shot!) After the tasting, all are welcome to hang out on the patio at the adjacent Roxanne’s afterwards, grab some food, cocktails, etc. Tab is on your own. Women Who Whiskey-LBC was launched in October 2019 and is the third California chapter of Women Who Whiskey, an international whiskey appreciation club that Julia Ritz Toffoli started in New York in 2012. There are now a total of 25 wWw chapters world-wide. With over 40-percent of whiskey-drinkers now being women, it was time for women to have a space to become more educated and confident consumers. Women Who Whiskey became exactly that, creating a space for education where women can ask questions in a non-intimidating environment and explore spirits on her terms. We hope that you will join us at one of our upcoming events and explore whiskey along with us! Please note that all are welcome, regardless of gender (because it’s Long Beach, and we are very chill).
