A gentle style of yoga that promotes mental and physical relaxation and flexibility. Yin consists of a series poses that are held for 3-5 minutes at a time. These poses are static and tend to focus on the lower body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. In each pose you are supported by props such as blocks, blankets, and bolsters. This allows your body to melt into the poses; as well as, makes this practice accessible to everyone. Yin promotes mobility and flexibility in the joints through gentle stretching and rehabilitates the connective tissues around our joints.
