A free introduction for families with children 4-15 yrs to try BMX Racing, before our Summer Beginner League season, starting August 1 Come on out to The Hill BMX on Sunday, July 25 from 3:00PM-4:30PM, for a FREE open house, especially for beginning riders and their families. During the 90-minute event, your rider will get some basic instruction on BMX Racing and ride the track, under the supervision of our League coaches and volunteers. Parents will learn about how the League is structured, and have an opportunity to sign up. The Beginners-only Summer 2021 League season starts Sunday, Aug 1 (3:00PM-5:30PM), and runs on the following schedule: August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. The Open House is the perfect opportunity to learn about the sport, and get in on an activity that is all-about fun, fitness and family. Open to boys and girls 4-15 years, and moms, dads and grandparents of riders. A “Beginner” is someone who has never raced BMX outside of the League program. Here’s a rundown of how the Open House will be structured: For Riders - A “roll-around” on our dirt track, supervised by our league coach and on-track volunteers, giving them some hands-on fun on a bike. For Parents - Watching the riders have a great time on the track, taking photos and enjoying some quality family time. We will also do a brief “walk-around” of the facility, a briefing on how the League format works, and a no-pressure sign-up process. For the Whole Family -A welcome message from the The Hill BMX League staff. -Firsthand stories from BMX families on what the sport of BMX Racing has done for them. -Group and personal Q&A time to answer all your questions. What to Bring/What to Wear for Riders - Long pants (JEANS strongly recommended), long sleeves, athletic shoes - A bike without reflectors, chain guard and/or pegs. (A limited supply of free loaners are available) - A helmet (a limited supply of free loaners available) **IMPORTANT** Riders must be able to ride a pedal bike without training wheels to participate.
