Join us for a weekend of "Family Reunion"! Games, hikes, barbecues, tours of the JSM, camp fires, camping. It'll be a weekend for the books! Outline(Rough):11AM-12PM we would begin the event officially at 11am at the monument itself, for the next hour we will offer an interactive, drop in drop out style devotional and a small kiosk for informing arriving members of the day's activities. 12PM-1PM lunch:Cold cuts and snacks for arriving members(maybe salads and fruits too) nothing fancy or over the top and again maintaining a very loose and relaxed atmosphere, this is a weekend for adults, we only ever offer and encourage. 1PM-6PM Activities(games, sports, water time, hiking time, slip n slide? kickball? wiffle ball? crafts table?. If people want to sit around and read The Book of Mormon that's OK too!) again with a theme of independence and agency we will have some things set up and available but we want people to make groups and naturally pursue their own interests. There will be tours of the memorial avalible as well. 6-9PM Rolling Dinner The best part about BBQ is that it can be made to order, the grills will be hot and the food fresh. August being one of the premier corn months means sweet sweet corn on the cob will be available in just about any style. Those will perfectly complement the watermelon, hotdogs, and hamburgers that will be offered alongside. (dietary restriction conscience choices will be available.) 9-Sleep Bonfires, smaller fires, Dance Partay(boombox inc) a time to windup at the dance party and wind down beside the fire as the first day comes to a close. Day 2: Rolling breakfast leading to sacrament meeting and (leftovers potluck before) cleanup afterwards.
