Please join The Independence Fund and our partners as we package and provide food, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items to Veterans Who: Volunteers partnering with The Independence Fund and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to provide food, personal hyiene items, and cleaning supplies to local Veterans. What: Feeding Independence! Serving our Nation's bravest by providing items to Veterans to help them stay safe and still be able to meet basic needs during any national emergency, catastrophe, or pandemic. We will ask you to pack supply bags and assist with loading supplies and food boxes into the Veterans vehicles. When: Thursday, August 19th from 8am to 12pm Where: Volunteers will meet at the parking lot of the South Charlotte VA Clinic at 3506 Wst Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC. 28208 Why: Many of the Veterans and Caregivers served by The Independence Fund have injuries that leave them immune compromised and susceptible to respiratory conditions. The Feeding Independence event provide these basic supplies that will assist these American heroes have their basic needs met.
