Park skating class taught by Drama Mama and brought to you by Legacy Skates KC! We are excited to announce that Drama Mama is coming to Kansas City! Jeneva aka Drama Mama is an international park and derby skate coach. They will be in Kansas City to help teach shred techniques on the ramps of Pierson Skatepark. Drama Mama is sponsored by Chaya, TSG, Wildbones, Rollerstuff and many other skate related companies. Drama has coached at Rollercon, Moxi Camp at Woodward, Rising Arizona, Upper Level Skate Camp, USA/MX Weekend Roll and many more. Beginners, novice and intermediate skater’s welcome! Skating lessons include but are not limited to the following: Let’s get pumped up! Learning different ways of pumping in a transition and bowl. What works for them may not work for you! Learn regular and switch stance. Fakie it till you make it! Fakie (backwards) plate stalls on to the coping. The 101 breakdown to unlock your fakie stall. Back it up! 101 to get your 180 onto coping aka backside stalls. Holy Half Cab!!!! An intro to a fakie carve and break down to land a fakie 180 on to the coping. (Half cab) Backwards Skating Learn the basics to gaining confidence skating backwards on flat ground and transitioning from forward to backwards! And intro to backwards crossover! Let’s flippin' inspire each other! Learning to naturally let your body take you in the air when flippin' and also picking up different techniques from your friends! This is an all interaction class where we can talk about what works for you and how we elevate tricks!
