POSITION/TITLE: Facilites Lead STATUS: Full-Time; Exempt (M-F) POSITION SUMMARY: Meals on Wheels is seeking a qualified Facilities Lead. This position will oversee our facilities department, across two campuses in San Francisco, in accordance with MOWSF guidelines. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Bi-lingual skills required (Spanish/English) which includes the ability to read, write and follow written instructions in English. • Basic knowledge of janitorial practices. • Demonstrated skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting. • Ability to exert physical effort in medium to heavy work involving a combination of lifting (up to 75lbs.), pulling, sitting, standing, walking, and driving. • Must be trustworthy, possessing good interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with management, staff, contractors, and a diverse older clientele. • Should be able to pass background check, successfully complete a pre-employment physical, provide employment documentation and provide us with a Covid-19 passport or be in the process of being vaccinated against Covid-19 within the first 30 days of employment. • Must be available for occasional overtime, weekends and Holidays DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Fleet and Facilities Director, and in accordance with the provisions of MOWSF’s Employee Handbook, the Facilities Lead is responsible for: Provide preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance needs of the main office facility, assessing and determining appropriate action, which may include handling repairs including: • Make minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs • Perform basic drywall repairs and some painting • Lighting, including re-lamping and installing ballasts • Assemble and move furniture and workstations Provide housekeeping and grounds keeping functions, including • Maintaining office site in excellent physical condition, cleaning all bathrooms, employee break rooms, carpets, floors, and surfaces. • Regularly stocking and replacing maintenance and janitorial items as necessary (janitorial supplies, light bulbs, etc.,) • Emptying trash and recycling and disposing of properly • Organizing and maintaining storage areas • Cleaning and maintaining grounds and exterior landscape • Wash delivery vehicles as needed • Conduct a building sweep prior to leaving HQ to secure the building • Perform other duties as assigned to support the agency’s overall maintenance needs SALARY/HOURS/BENEFITS: This position is Full-time, Exempt and is scheduled to work a 40-hour work week (Monday –Friday with occasionally overtime).
