Description

By Norine Dworkin, VoxPopuli Saturday, July 17, 2021 At the Florida Legislative Update July 15, during a gathering of local Black lawmakers organized by Ocoee City Commissioner Larry Brinson, Sr., VoxPopuli asked state Sen. Randolph Bracy (D) about getting his scholarship/Ocoee Massacre reparations fund passed during the same legislative session that approved the most restrictive voting law since Jim Crow. While $6,100 helps with college expenses, can it compensate for the atrocity and the lost generational wealth? Will Sen. Bracy try to get more funding in the coming legislative session? Here's what he had to say. Thanks for submitting!
