Job Purpose 30 hours per week | Start Date: ASAP May 2021 As Lead Fulfillment Associate, you will be responsible for leading our small team to deliver safe, quality service and performance objectives. You will report to our warehouse manager who knows the ‘ins and outs’ of the business and will be on hand to train and support you. You will also be asked to be the face of our company to certain key clients and customers. Day-to-day fulfillment center activities include: - Creating accurate shipping labels for various brands - Managing and packing various one off fulfillment projects from key customers and clients - Packing orders and overseeing orders packed by others - Keep the team on task for the day - Monitoring breaks and hours - Handling receiving of pallets - Building outgoing pallet orders - Taking inventory - Purchasing inventory based on client instruction from online platforms (like Amazon or Uline) - Managing ad hoc tasks such as cleaning projects, organizing packaging, on-off packing projects - Keyholder duties (opening, closing) - Assisting in staffing, schedule creation You will lead and execute warehouse initiatives and maintain an environment focused on continuous improvement and accuracy. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with managers and senior leadership to establish, communicate, and execute measurable operations goals that deliver uncompromised safety, quality, service, and performance results. Meet and exceed productivity and performance objectives. Provide real-time information or feedback to teams for managing performance. Manage and control the overall warehouse workflow utilizing ideas and areas for improvement identified by the teams. Set clear expectations, lead a high performing team; implement systems that deliver repeatable and reliable results. Act as a resource for the team to set them up for success. Have a positive and motivational tone with the team Work daytimes and weekdays (approximately 9am-4pm, Monday- Friday) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of related experience Experience with warehouse machinery an advantage You can lift heavy boxes and push or pull heavy items that weigh between 30 and 50 pounds. Experience in a food manufacturing/distribution or grocery environment preferred Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong experience and proficiency with computer systems and related WMS software required Proven ability to motivate, mentor, coach and influence people You don’t mind physical work, it energizes you. You get the job done and you make things happen, even if the day is not perfect. You know how to use a smartphone or computer. You have reliable transportation to Treasure island (if you live in San Francisco, the bus comes often and is reliable) Physical Requirements We characterize this role as physically demanding. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling carts, and handling of materials. Must be able to regularly lift, carry and/or push and/or pull between 30 to 50 pounds.
