Description

LUTZ, FL — Hillsborough County is seeking input from the public on a proposed intersection improvement at a busy intersection in Lutz. The purpose of this public engagement opportunity is to present the preferred intersection improvements to the public. Members of the public will have the opportunity to review the information and provide feedback during the two-week public comment period from July 19 to Aug. 2. Proposed improvements at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Sunset Lane would add turn lanes and updated traffic signals. The $1.6 million project is expected to begin in the summer of 2022 and be complete in summer of 2023. The project will enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety by incorporating Vision Zero principles such as ADA-compliant sidewalks. Residents and commercial property owners can review the proposed changes and give feedback by clicking here any time from July 19 and Aug. 2. For more information, contact the county's Customer Service Center at 813-272-5900.
