Hello! I'm working on replacing a beloved piece of shelving that finally fell apart. It was in bad shape when I first found it on the street. Ha ha ha. Somehow, a simple repair job transformed into an expensive DIY project. I'm near the final step and I could use some advice.
Here's what I have:
4 beautiful planks, all cut to size and ready to go
4 black square metal tubes - specifically 1 X 1 X 12 GA (.105 wall) A513 Square Steel Tube, 3ft each
The next step is attaching the planks to the metal poles. I've been thinking that the best way to do it would be to use black corner braces. One side would need to be welded to the poles, and the other screwed into the planks. This is similar to how the old shelves were constructed. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions before I start on the final step?
Thanks!
Bret
