Northwest Center is now hiring an Operations Supervisor to join our Integrated Facilities Services team! The Operations Supervisor will oversee a growing team of five facilities services professionals and ensure that our work meets Northwest Center’s high standards. We are looking for a customer service-focused janitorial supervisor interested in working in a diverse and inclusive environment. As a working supervisor, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the activities of our janitorial crews on contract sites and completing daily cleanings. Location: Greater Puget Sound Region Primarily the Seattle and Bellevue area Schedule: Monday - Friday & Weekend Flexibility, hours vary Benefits ☞ Great medical benefits, elective dental and vision ☞ Paid time off ☞ Paid holidays ☞ 401k ☞ Subsidized gym membership ☞ Verizon Wireless employee discount ☞ Employment Assistance Program (EAP) Essential Functions ☞ Ensuring quality control measures are practiced at each worksite by conducting inspections, reviewing results, and documenting findings ☞ The ability to work under and meet required deadlines ☞ Operate and direct the crew to operate hand and powered maintenance equipment ☞ Monitoring and maintaining supply inventory control ☞ Scheduling daily and periodic work, providing assignments, direction, and training to janitorial staff ☞ Implementing continuous system improvements to improve the quality of work and cost-effectiveness ☞ Training staff in cleaning procedures, safety issues, MSDS, and bloodborne pathogens ☞ Providing customer service and solving quality and service-related issues as needed ☞ Preforming required daily cleanings as required by contract ☞ Assisting management in maintaining costs on or below budget Requirements ☞ Two years of janitorial experience ☞ One year of experience as a supervisor ☞ Basic math skills ☞ The interest and ability to work directly with disabled adults, creating a positive environment ☞ Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people of all ethnicities, disabilities, and communication barriers ☞ Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between sites ☞ A demonstrated ability to work independently and in cooperation with all staff, management, and team members ☞ Basic understanding of computer applications and experience with MS Office products preferred ☞ Floor and carpet experience preferred At Northwest Center, we do not just accept diversity and inclusion — we celebrate it, support it, live it, and flourish in it to benefit our employees, the community, and our clientele.
