Press release from the City and County of Broomfield: July 19, 2021 Once a year, the Paul Derda Recreation Center and Broomfield Community Center close to allow staff and contractors to clean, and perform special projects and maintenance that are impossible to do while patrons enjoy the buildings. The 2021 maintenance closures are coming up. Here is what you need to know: The Paul Derda Recreation Center will be closed Aug. 2 - Aug. 15 The Broomfield Community Center will be closed Aug. 23 - Sept. 6.  The Broomfield Bay will remain open during both closures.  Outdoor fitness classes will continue during both closures.
