Press release from Waukee Community School District: Jul 19, 2021 The Waukee Community School District broke ground on Monday, July 19 on the future site of the fifth middle level building in our district, scheduled to open in the fall of 2023. The lot is located approximately one mile northwest of Waukee Northwest High School at 1455 NW Douglas Pkwy in Waukee.  This building will be the home to 8th and 9th grade students in our district. It will initially open as a 6th and 7th grade building.  The site will also be home to the district's pool facility (opening in 2023) and the sixth middle level building (opening in 2025).  "These groundbreaking events are always a lot of fun," says Superintendent Dr. Brad Buck. "It demonstrates our continued commitment to provide high quality learning spaces for our students, great environments for our staff, excellent places for kids to engage in activities and to just be involved in the wonderful culture that is Waukee Community Schools."
