Volunteer Workday Planned At O'Hara Woods On Saturday

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Conservation Foundation and the Friends of O'Hara Woods will hold the monthly volunteer workday at O'Hara Woods from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. According to the Village website, work will include cutting invasive brush, burning brush piles, pulling garlic mustard and collecting seed from native plants. If you'd like to help, you can meet at the parking lot off of Beverly J. Griffin Drive to the southwest of Lake Strini. Participants should bring a water bottle, work gloves and dress for the weather. Monthly workdays are also planned for Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Nov. 20 and Dec. 18.
