Facility Maintenance Technician Part Time position • Performs routine and preventive maintenance on facility buildings, grounds and equipment as directed by facility Manager; restoring, repairing, or replacing faulty/inoperative components and parts. • Performs routine carpentry, painting, patch and plastering of building surfaces and equipment. • Performs routine plumbing checks. • Performs routine electrical work such as replacing light bulbs, outlets, switches, etc. • Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up papers and trash; painting; maintaining the surrounding landscape; replacing light bulbs. • Completes equipment and building repairs by following manufacturer's instructions and maintenance procedures. • Performs minor repairs and adjustment. Required Qualifications • Knowledge of standard tools and practices of the various trades of general maintenance such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and plastering. • Ability to understand, follow and follow up on oral and written instructions. • Understanding of the importance of adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements and can be trusted to handle a high level of responsibility. • Demonstrates strong work ethic. Uses time productively to accomplish challenging work goals. • Presents a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization. • Valid driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check. • Reliable transportation • Pay will be based on skills.
