PITTSBURGH, PA — Three-time Pro Bowler Melvin Ingram signed a one-year contract with the Steelers on Monday following a visit with team officials, the NFL's Ian Rappaport reported. Ingram, 32, was one of the top remaining free agents on the market. The linebacker spent his entire nine-year career with the Los Angeles Chargers, who did not re-sign him following last season. In 2020, while enduring several knee injuries, Ingram played just seven games. He had five quarterback sacks, two passes defensed and one interception, but did not record a quarterback sack. Over his career, Ingram has 49 sacks, 70 tackles for losses and 108 quarterback hits. Source: The #Steelers are signing FA pass-rusher Melvin Ingram to a 1-year contract to beef up the edge.
