BURNSVILLE, MN — Nicollet Commons Park will re-open Thursday with a day of celebration, the city said. The park will re-open with new features in the water play area, the city said. The grand re-opening will take place Thursday from 11 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a Rockin' Readers story and a Rockin' Lunch Hour with a performance by Kids Dance, the city said. Later that day will be Party on the Plaza, which will feature music and food trucks representing cultures around the world, as well as booths and vendors from around the community, the city said. This event will be from 4-9 p.m. and be hosted by the city and International Festival of Burnsville, the city said.
