Bryce told the station that she started skating when she was just 5 years old.
"I think I first knew that I wanted to be a skateboarder when I finally realized that every day I could go on, pretty much embark on, a new excursion to find little bits and pieces of myself, and so I finally had all the Jenga pieces to make me who I was," she told KXAN.
Bryce competed at the Summer X Games as a lead-up to the Olympics on July 11-18, the Encinitas Advocate reported.
The Olympic street and park skateboarding competitions will start July 25 and end Aug. 5.
