BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man is dead after a shooting in west Birmingham Sunday night. The shooting occurred just after 9 p.m. at the Spur Convenience Store at 945 Pike Road. "The preliminary investigation suggests an unknown suspect fired multiple shots at the victim prior to leaving the scene in an unknown vehicle," Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said. "The motive in this incident is unclear."
