Minneapolis Jazz?

Anyone up for trying to put together some type of jazz combo? Either a rehearsal group or to gig? Not looking to play standards or spang-a-lang tunes. That's what Monday nights at Jazz Central is for. Nothing against that at all. But I'm ooking to do something along the lines of Robert Glasper, Chris Dave and the Drum Hedz, Dave King (Bad Plus, Trucking Company). Something that is jazz but also pop and hip-hop influenced. All instruments welcome eg piano, woodwinds (sax, flute, bass clarinet etc), brass, violin, bass guitar (preferably standup with pickup), guitar. I play drums. Most of my experience has been rock, pop, county, working bands but I played strictly jazz while in college at McNally Smith so have something of a foundation. There's so much great music that has come from Minneapolis. It would be cool to tap into that and forge something new or at least cool. It interested reply via craigslist. Thanks -
