The latest Reality episode of Republican sore losers is our own State Senator Burt Jones. He has filed for an investigation of SOS Raffensperger and the election. I wonder why he did not ask for such an investigation in 2016? I think some of his concerns have already been addressed by people who keep up with all the Right Wing Lies about our last election, but there has been a lot of them. He is concerned about a possible 35,000 extra illegal votes based on voter rolls. If Jones would have kept up with the real news he would have known that out of that 35,000 registered voters he can't find, over 10,000 changed their ID to a new address, registered to vote with it, and legally voted. Of the remaining 25k invalid ID's, they most likely moved and did not inform the voter registration people about it, no one ever does, and also did not register to vote in a new Ga. County. If they would have registered to vote in another county, they would have to had a new DL or ID for their new address, so that would void their old voter registration. That happens daily in every state, and it can take awhile for any SOS office to recalculate the new numbers. But the computers know. That is why our DL's have that scannable info on the back. Duh! So most likely the extra 25k did not register to vote in their new county, or moved to a different state. That is why the SOS is required to purge inactive voters after a few years. That system worked fine in 2016 when SOS Kemp did it. I guess Jones did not notice that. Keep in mind Ga. is in full compliance with the Federal Gold Star system, so some one moving to another county or state would not be able to use their old ID to vote in one state, and their new ID to vote in their new state. Big Brother is watching! President Trump has praised Rep Jones request for an Investigation, which is probably what Jones is really after. Either way the tax payers of Georgia get to pay for all this. In 2016 independent voters like me accounted for 4% of the presidential vote in Ga. Libertarians accounted for 3% of the presidential votes in Ga. Last year less than 1% voted Libertarian. As much as I do not want to see Ga go completely Blue in 2022, the look on Gov Kemps face when he hands the keys to the Governors Mansion to Stacy Abrams is going to be priceless!
