Crafters and artisans are invited to show their wares at the 73rd annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival and Craft Fair on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The cost for a booth is only $40.
This long-established craft fair is part of the Ocean Beach Kite Festival, the oldest kite festival for children in the U.S. It's a free community event which attracts more than 1,000 children and families each year.
Children are taught how to make and fly a simple kite, and there are spectacular kite flying demonstrations by experts. In addition to the craft fair there are also games, music, and food.
The Kite Festival and Craft Fair are open to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Crafter setup time is 8-10 AM, cleanup is 4-5 PM.
The location is Robb Field, 2525 Bacon Street in Ocean Beach.
It's a large athletic park located off Sunset Cliffs Blvd. at the end of the I-8 freeway.
You enter the park on Bacon Street from West Point Loma Blvd.
All booths will be on GRASS. You will be able to drive and park fairly close to your spot for setup.
A 10x10 foot space is only $40 for those who make their own merchandise. ($85 for commercial vendors.)
You must supply all your own booth setup (tables, chairs, canopy, or whatever else you need).
All proceeds benefit local community projects of the Kiwanis Club of Ocean Beach,
including the Kite Festival itself.
