CWU is accepting applications for individuals to perform grounds keeping work. These positions are designated as temporary/hourly positions. Assist Grounds Operations staff in performing general gardening maintenance such as litter collection, raking leaves, mowing lawns, laying sod, pulling weeds, setting irrigation pipe and sprinklers, planting trees and other landscape material using a variety of manual tools and equipment such as rakes, pruning shears, edger’s, loppers, shovels, wheelbarrows, lawn mowers, weed eaters, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers. Each department will have individual required qualifications for specific jobs. However, in general grounds jobs require: Physical ability to do the required work Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications Each department will have individual preferred qualifications for specific jobs. • Highlighting prior Grounds related experience and applicable education/training in your application materials will make your application stronger.
