Go see live bands at clubs you like. Meet the band members... Talk to and create a connection with said musicians. When's the last time you went out to see live bands? To support live, local music even if you don't care for it? How many of your "friends" are musicians? Posting here is okay for people who don't know or hang out with other people regularly.
