This position will be scheduled Thursday through Monday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (NOT REMOTE) Seeking Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish (+$1.00 for Bilingual Individuals) POSITION SUMMARY Join a growing customer service team for one of Oregon's leading recycling companies. At OBRC, every day in customer service is fast-paced and filled with unique challenges as we shape our services and programs to make recycling fast, easy, and convenient for more Oregonians. We are seeking candidates with active-listening skills and patience who can give detailed instructions in a friendly manner. In this role, you will be one of our customers' primary contact points, and your daily interactions will help shape the customer experience. You will help resolve customer issues and provide them with the information they need to recycle their beverage containers with ease. Your daily work will consist of inbound and outbound calls, as well as email communications with customers. You will also work closely with other departments to translate English materials into Spanish, providing a vital service to our Spanish speaking community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage large amounts of inbound and (occasional) outbound calls in a timely manner Assist with customer service email inquiries Follow communications “scripts” when handling different BottleDrop topics Research required information using available resources Use company policies to determine if there can be an immediate resolution to a customer issue or if that issue requires managerial input Follow up with customers in a timely manner as needed for problem resolution Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential May assist with overflow work Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual in Spanish is required Previous experience in a call center or high contact customer service position preferred Excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and via email Strong communication skills along with active listening and problem solving Knowledge of generally accepted office practices and procedures Experience in organizing and maintaining accounts and files Ability to follow general instructions and understand directions for completing assigned projects Computer experience, particularly with word processing and excel spreadsheets Upbeat positive attitude and professional demeanor Must be reliable and able to work independently. We require a pre-employment drug screen for amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, cocaine metabolite and opiates. We recognize that marijuana is legal in the state of Oregon, so it is not included in the drug screen.
