ESTIMATOR/SALES Metro-Boston's pre-eminent residential fence company continues to grow at a double-digit pace and needs great people to help continue the success in a professional, stable, and well-run business atmosphere. Our Estimator position is a long-term opportunity where you will learn the fencing industry top-to-bottom and train to become a full-time Estimator. While training for the position, your responsibilities will include: • Learning to Estimate and Sell (shadowing Estimators) • Assisting in the Office/Showroom (answering phones, setting leads, helping customers) • Assisting with installations (installing fences, repairing fences) If there is a good mutual fit, at the end of the training you will advance to the position of full-time Estimator. The full-time Estimator position requires an individual to meet with 25-40 potential customers each week and help them work through their potential fence project for their property. This includes presenting fence materials/options/capabilities in an organized, professional manner, pricing the project, negotiating terms, and following-up after the initial visit. The position is also required to communicate with the Install team to ensure a smooth, professional end-product. The ideal individual will be 1) extremely organized, 2) a great communicator, 3) intelligent, and comfortable with computer (i.e. Excel/Word) programs, 4) professional, polite and patient, and 5) driven and energetic with a "high motor." Starting Compensation: Base Salary of $52,000 annually, plus incentive program (which for most adds $10,000-$80,000 to your base salary) once promoted to full-time Estimator. Also includes annual (January) performance reviews with potential salary increase, dependent on personal and company performance. Also included are: a) Christmas Bonus: Dependent on company performance. b) Year-end Bonuses: Dependent on personal and company performance. c) 401K/Profit Sharing: Eligible after 1 year of employment. 401K is employee contributed. Profit Sharing is company contributed. d) Paid Vacation/Personal days: Two weeks paid-vacation plus 5 paid Personal Days annually. e) Transportation: A full-time Estimator is assigned a Reliable vehicle. Reliable covers gas and insurance for work related travel, as well as to/from your home and the office. f) Outings: Company parties/events are held each year. Dependent on company performance. g) Medical Insurance: Eligible for Reliable's plan. There is a comprehensive Employee Handbook, with time-off, behavior, dress (etc.) policies, that is supplied with the Offer of Employment. Other Notes: 1) You should like to "get your hands dirty" and have some mechanical abilities/interests. 2) This is a Seasonal Business. Long hours and 100% commitment are required in the Spring and Summer. Fall pace is "normal," and Winter is slow. 3) You MUST have a valid driver’s license. License history will be reviewed to confirm you are insurable on Reliable’s plan. 4) We are looking for a Strong team player, this is an environment where we value working together and assisting each other whenever possible to get the job done. 5) We are all professional, educated, and well spoken, but we like to be comfortable!
