Lighting Retrofit Technician What is a Lighting Retrofit? A lighting retrofit is simply an upgrade to your light fixtures or lamps, increasing energy efficiency. Role Definition • Installation and retrofit of lighting systems in Albuquerque and surrounding areas • Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems Requirements and Qualifications • Team player who works well with others, able to take instruction and direction • Can Do Attitude: Positive, Helpful and Energetic • Some electrical experience and tools preferred, but we will train the right candidates. (Electrician apprentices encouraged to apply.) • Preference given to applicants who are willing to travel and work out-of-town as needed • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Valid Driver’s License. • Solid work history demonstrating reliability and conscientiousness. • Able to work on your feet for 8-10 Hr. shift and OT as required. • Basic computer skills for maintaining organized records with the office staff. • Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE on job site • Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work. • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. • Climb ladders of varying heights. • Ability to maneuver in crawl spaces, attics • Ability to work at extreme heights. • Lift moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
