Immediate opportunity to serve on a prestigious North Carolina Memorial. The shift is Saturday-Sunday 7:30AM - 4:30PM. (16 hrs/week) The ideal candidate will be comfortable climbing up and down ladders, be able to lift 25 pounds, and able to stand for long periods of time. Perfect opportunity for a military veteran. Duties include, but not limited to: Overall duties include removing debris and maintaining common space areas Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures Cleaning duties include: sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, dusting, window cleaning, clean and maintain restrooms Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Use proper PPE where required Clean all common space areas including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room Place safety hazard signs in the building including “wet floor” signs as necessary Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crisis Physical Demands and Qualifications: Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25lbs. Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must.
