B&C Staffing Services provides quality landscaping contractors to sister company, B&C Landscaping for full-time employees averaging 45-50 hours per week during the growing season and a minimum of 3 days per week during off-season. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times hourly rate. Hourly rates are competitive and based on years of experience. All candidates MUST complete W-9 and provide copy of social security card. Employees are paid weekly for the previous week's hours. Daily jobs originate and end at shop in Mckinney but service all of the DFW Metroplex. Work days begin at 6:30am Monday-Friday during growing season. Duties Include: * Ride in truck with supervisor on daily routes * Work with team of 2 to 4 landscapers * Maintain a safe work environment while producing timely and quality work * Use hand / power tools and equipment * Perform a variety of tasks as directed by supervisor * Mowing, edging, leaf blowing, planting, trash pickup, trimming, weed eating, fertilizing, digging, mulching, etc. * Load trucks / trailers with necessary equipment / tools, refill fuel canisters, and properly secure all equipment Qualifications * Hard working, reliable, and trustworthy * Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and process oriented * Can-do attitude that is a strong team player * Willingness to learn and desire to grow within the organization * Excellent communication skills (English and Spanish a PLUS) * Knowledge and use of electronic technology such as smart phones & tablets Skills / Requirements: * 2+ years of work experience in a landscaping position with installs * Ability to complete the following tasks: - Mowing, line trimming, edging, blowing - Weed Control, Fertilization, - Trimming Trees/Hedges/Shrubs - Planting trees/hedges/plants/flowers - Laying sod - Mulching - Pushing a wheelbarrow - Digging holes for planting trees and shrubs - Frequently required to stand/walk/reach/sit/stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl - Must be able to work outdoors - doing heavy physical labor, in all weather conditions - Frequently required to lift and/or move 35-80 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds +
