There’s no mistaking Spike’s for a feed store! Each day you visit you’re greeted by large stacks of the feeds that you use the most: horse feed, chicken feed, wild bird seed and dog food. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures exceptional customer service as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment. Performs delivery and returns as needed. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Loading feed and merchandise in customer vehicle. • Receive merchandise and unload trucks by using a hand dolly, forklift, or pallet jack as needed. • Maintains a safe, clean working environment. • Maintain proper stock rotation. • Maintain and water seasonal plants. • Perform light maintenance to building and surrounding areas as needed. • Pulling daily retail and commercial orders • Receiving and stocking of incoming freight • Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or materials. • Assist with inventory audits. • Other tasks and special projects as assigned. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Regular communication with team members, leadership, and guests. Physical Requirements: • Ability to handle physical workload. • Ability to lift 60lbs • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours. • Some bending/kneeling/stooping required. • Some carrying, moving and positioning of objects and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. *E-Verify:* Spikes Feed Store/Gertens participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program in all facilities located in the United States.
