Ph.D. student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is conducting a research study to understand how women in the hospitality industry experience job loss and unemployment. Payment of $30 Visa gift card for your time (plus $10 at follow-up). You may be eligible if you are a woman age 25-54, who lost a non-supervisory job with a Greater Boston hotel, restaurant, or bar because of your employer’s response to COVID-19 (for example, your workplace closed, or your position or shift was eliminated). You may or may not be working again in a different job. The study involves one 2-hour interview at a time and location of your choice. Possibility of one 1-hour follow-up interview six months later.
