Job description Responsibilities: The Compost Facility Spotter will be responsible for directing customers to unload yard debris at the landfill and picking trash from a sorting line. They will assist the Equipment Operators with various tasks, ensuring a neat and safe work environment at the Landfill employees and customers, and directs traffic at the working face. Performs random load checks following all related safety policies and procedures. Communicate with the scale house about contamination and more. Work Environment: Outdoor at landfill; Will be exposed to outside weather environments, dirt, high levels of noise Preferred Skills: Two years of previous relevant work experience. Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds frequently. Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs. Normal setting for this job is outdoors. Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
