Description
I have a 5 year old Dusky Headed Conure for rehoming. He was a rescue about a year ago and has done extremely well. He grew all of his feathers back, eats a variety of fruits and vegetables now, and is no longer a shy bird. He is tame, steps up, climbs all over us, and will spend lots of time on our shoulders or following us around the house. He will cling to the person taking care of him regularly, and show lots of affection, and will do well with other, everyone willing to give him love and attention. He gives kisses and whistles when prompted. Loves to eat out of your plate, so be careful. He was not a flighted bird but he has been working on it, and can now fly short distance around the house, lands well on his cage, table, and shoulders. He does well with older kids but not a pet for young kids, I’d say not under 10 years old. They live to be 30-40 years old with the right care and food, and I prefer he goes to an experienced bird lover. We are rehoming him as we do not have as much time to spend with him as he needs, as he is very social, and because I feel he’s ready for his forever home now. I also have a new big cage with storage underneath and supplies if desired for sale. There will be a rehoming fee. Serious inquiries only, please.
