3yo Siberian Husky

Description

I've tried to do this through "proper" channels but it hasn't worked. Before anyone emails to suggest I work through a rescue, none of the rescues have agreed to accept this dog in to their programs. His level of need isn't deemed high enough. He's really a good dog. Good around other dogs & kids, happy go lucky, dumbass, pretty low energy (absolutely abnormal for a husky), really chill. Of course he loves going out! "Walk" & "ride" are among his favorite vocabulary words. He also loves the word "run," but don't expect him to be your new sled dog. He's really good at running with instead of pulling you down the road. He hasn't had any formal training, but he knows sit, stay, shake, beg, & high five. I've worked with him on recall, & like most huskies, he's good at it as long as he's not totally distracted by something else. I have a 5 foot high fence around my backyard, & he's never figured out that he can climb it or jump it. He absolutely has his flaws - the dumbass in him has made him a little accident prone. Most recently he stabbed himself in the neck, resulting in a shaved neck, drain tubes, & stitches. He also has a thing for trying to eat bees. He isn't good with cats or other small animals; he would just loooove to chase them. And he has a thing for getting on to the kitchen table, trying to eat paper (books, magazines, mail, toilet paper, etc). What he needs is a home with someone (or a family) who actually wants him there. He was left with me by an ex who had wanted him, & yeah, I love the dog, but I still don't want him.
