A day to learn tools of empowerment, self-love and success. Who: Girls in grades 6-9. What: This is a day for Middle school and freshman girls to get ready for the upcoming school year. A day of pampering, love and tools to be confident about their first day of school. When: Sunday, August 1st 10am-2pm Where: 3402 W 30th St (Prolific Suites & Event Services) How: Each girl will receive a Sparkle Kit with strong positive affirmations, hair and skincare support, style and fashion tips as well as a guide to stress management with ways to cope with grief. Each will also receive tips on nutrition and how to choose healthy snacks. Each girl will experience live demonstration at stations for each topic presented. This love and support will come from a village of strong talented Black women (hair stylists, massage therapists, makeup artists, and motivational speakers) to wrap around them and let them know their dreams are worth dreaming and they need to let their light shine. FAQs: — Does the parent/caregiver need a ticket? No, just the girl. — Do I drop off or stay with her? You will drop her off with a skilled group of professionals that will take great care of her. Enjoy your four hours worry free . — My daughter is young for her grade, is that ok? Yes, if she is entering into 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grade this upcoming fall she is able to attend.
