Description

Women and girls 14 + are invited to discuss important concepts of self-defense and train to defend against common attacks that women face. We will discuss and practice using common self-defense weapons such as impact batons, palm sticks/kubotans, pepper spray, and firearms, and show you how to use everyday items as improvised weapons (e.g., cell phones, keys). We’ll also cover some common self-defense scenarios and discuss strategies for personal defense. The Applied Combatives Group exists to teach the attitudes, principles, and skills necessary to control and survive violent physical confrontations in a manner that results in the least harm to all involved. We teach with respect for the culture, history, and traditions of the arts and use personalized instruction to enhance the capacity of civilians, law enforcement, and military to utilize appropriate and effective defensive tactics when confronted with aggression.
