Palmfest Night #1 Kicks off with blue collar goth rocker Monica LaPlante, Catbath + a solo set by The Arrivals (Chi) Little Dave Merriman "Keeping the garage in garage rock, Monica LaPlante's fuzzed riffs and frank lyricism lay bare while they grind into your psyche like a steel-toed boot into wet cement. -Minnesota Public Radio" Catbath, are an eclectic four-piece rock outfit hailing from Minneapolis, MN, drawing from disparate genres and eras of rock—from sixties garage pop to grunge to metal—with the common thread of undeniable melodies and irrepressible pop hooks.With the most recent release of the “Table Scraps” EP (all material available at Catbath.Bandcamp.com), Catbath filled in the blanks of their previous two full length albums - ‘It’s Bathtime’ (2013) & ‘Glitterbox’ (2018)- with a collection of odds and ends, recorded at various times and locations since the band’s formation. Little Dave Merriman is one of the singer songwriters of Chicago band The Arrivals. His solo set will be a mix of his songs with a bit of humor to boot.
