The City of Design Challenge invites you to join us for one or both sessions of this traditional/non-traditional quilting bee. Hosted by Diana Nucera aka Mother Cyborg. Presented by Design Core, Connect 313, College for Creative Studies, and MOCAD. In collaboration with The BROOD Exhibition. Join us for one or both sessions of this traditional/ non-traditional quilting bee organized as part of the City of Design Challenge pilot program. Participants will be given supplies and training to sew together while discussing big data, community tech, and more. The workshop will result in a hand-stitched community quilt.This event will be outdoors with seating and tables under open-sided tents. Cool beverages and snacks will be provided. The City of Design Challenge invites teams to develop community tech concepts to deliver public services to residents in a more flexible, innovative, and user-centered way, improving the experience in spaces where people access these services in their communities and expanding their reach through accessible digital experiences.
